Rain+Pangs of Melancholy+Nostalgia= A good thing

The above equation tends to work for me on long rainy days. When I'm stuck inside and the wind is whipping, grass is slick, shiny, and wet, and the rain is pressing down against my window in sheets I always feel inspired. I feel like its a time when you should be planning and that's exactly what I'm doing. This works extremely well with a good soundtrack. Despite the fact that I had a very shitty week it ended very nicely with the Virgin Free Fest at Merriweather Post Pavilion in Maryland. I really feel that music is the best medicine ever and being in the pit watching the final act of the night, LCD Soundsystem, perform made every problem leave my mind for the night.
